At the Cell and Tissue Culture laboratory we work together with breeding and other biotechnology departments to produce plants with different genetic values, where the techniques are carried out under sterile conditions.
What are you going to do
As Process Manager, you are responsible for managing (linear) production processes to ensure operational excellence. You are a key player alongside the Manager Application and the process supervisors. You have a complete overview of all cell- and tissue culture workflows and support integration of new process and standardisation, digitalisation, optimisation of existing process. Together, you work on continuously improving the process to make the department more efficient and effective. Your role as a Process Manager will contribute to Enza Zaden’s vision to grant worldwide access to healthy vegetables.
You will help identify and pursue opportunities for process optimisation through automation and/or digitalisation and support implementation. In the process of successfully embedding these projects you establish an efficient way of working within the department and set targets to monitor the processes together with process supervisors.
In close collaboration with the Manager Application and the process supervisors, you actively participate in the Global initiatives to standardise procedures and contribute to achieve the Application department goals. You will also be involved in bridging the Cell- and Tissue Culture laboratory and the Cell Biology departments by integrating common processes and improving specific processes. Next to that you will work together with the I&D team to guarantee a smooth implementation of digitization processes.
Your power
You have strong communication and excellent planning and organising skills. You are result oriented and work in an analytical manner to collect and analyse data. You work accurate and precise and have experience in data recording and reporting. You are not afraid to make decisions and taking the lead in process-focused projects. You like to work as part of a team and have a collaborative mind-set.
In short, you:
have a Bachelor of Science degree in (green) life sciences or within functional application management.
are stress-resistant and have the ability to work ad hoc
have experience in (lab) process and workflows.
have a proven track record in analytical and data management skills.
have a strong affinity with planning, organisation and reporting methods and working in a digitalised environment.
have experience working with a laboratory information system and know what is required to operationally maintain this.
have excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, in Dutch and English.
