This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious financial professional to grow further and to join the Global Financial Control team of Enza Zaden. 

Your core function is to ensure the timeliness, quality and accuracy of both the process and the financial reporting output. As such, it is important that you can work with the utmost precision while demonstrating the flexibility necessary to handle the pressures that often arise at month-end. You will be joining a multinational organization that is committed to your personal and professional growth and development.

Your main responsibility is the consolidation of the operational and legal financial statements for Enza Zaden during each reporting period. This includes a number of related tasks such as providing instructions to the subsidiaries and preparing all required forms and reports for internal and external reporting.

It also involves helping to analyse the results and performing analytical reviews of financial trends, metrics and historical data.

You also assist in developing and maintaining the internal reporting templates and develop ad-hoc reporting tools. A further task is to assist with technical maintenance of the consolidation system and application, providing technical assistance and training to end users, where required.

You also support the global financial control team on topics as sustainability, internal control,  specific projects and assignments on an ad hoc basis.

At all times you liaise actively with the finance community and  (local) finance managers to o ensure compliance with the Enza Zaden accounting manual. You report to the Global Manager Financial Control and will be based in Enkhuizen, The Netherlands.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Execution of assigned parts of the global planning & control cycle (monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting), ensuring the numbers of various subsidiaries are being delivered timely and correctly.

• Functional and operational execution of the consolidation tool.

• Acts as the go–to person for all matters related to the finance and reporting for local and global financial staff

• Review / analysis of the numbers on accuracy, completeness and quality. Supporting follow-up on findings and defined actions aligned with the international finance teams.

• Act upon ad hoc requests to deliver information to internal or external stakeholders

• Support the global financial control team on topics as treasury, insurance, external audit, sustainability and internal control.

• Act as the linking pin between the Data, Analytics & Reporting team and Global Financial Control to ensure and align the right reports and tools are available and will be improved continuously.

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years’ of relevant experience in Finance

• Bachelor or Master in Economics or Accounting

• Knowledge of accounting standards (Dutch Gaap and/or IFRS)

• Affinity with sustainability reporting, accounting and internal control

• Experience with reporting and consolidation is a plus

• Strong technical skills in terms of working with tools like Excel, Power Point and ERP software (D365).

• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at all different levels, backgrounds and cultures;

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Pro active, open, trustworthy team player and good communicator, continually search for improvements in terms of process and efficiency.

• Fluent in verbal and written English and Dutch
