You will start with a one-year contract, with the intention to extend for an additional year. After this period, we will reassess the role and future opportunities together. 
 
This is why you want to join us as Finance Specialist at Enza Zaden  

  • Support local accounting and Record-to-Report (R2R) activities in a country-specific context, with opportunities to grow into more responsibility. 

  • Act as a point of contact together with your team for internal specialists, local authorities, and external advisors. 

  • Contribute to ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal control frameworks. 

 

Make a difference as Finance Specialist 

  • Support and execute local accounting activities including insurance, tax, payroll, compliance, and subsidy administration. 

  • Collaborate closely with the Record-to-Report Specialist and Business Control to ensure accurate and timely financial processes. 

  • Reconcile, process, and declare VAT, assist in CIT preparation, and support inventory settlement. 

  • Support the preparation of local financial statements and legal documentation for compliance purposes. 

  • Assist in monitoring fixed assets processing and reconciliation for statutory reporting. 

  • Support interactions with tax authorities, external payroll providers, and legal advisors. 

  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes and assist in implementing necessary adjustments. 

  • Maintain local administrative systems and contribute to internal control frameworks. 

  • Assist in coordinating internal and external audits and reviewing local contracts. 

 

You will work in a team of three Finance Specialists within R2R, alongside seven colleagues. You report to the Regional Accounting Manager and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as R2R Specialists, Local Business Controllers, O2C and P2P Specialists, Business Control, Global Finance Control, Legal, HR, and the Global Manager Finance Operations. You will also have exposure to external parties including tax authorities, government institutions, and legal advisors. 

 

What you bring as a future colleague  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (HBO level). 

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience. 

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and ledger systems. 

  • Experience with VAT and affinity with corporate income tax of the Netherlands 

  • Familiarity with Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, and Purchase-to-Pay processes is a plus. 

  • Awareness of GAAP guidelines and statutory requirements. 

  • Good communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications; experience with MS Dynamics 365 is a plus. 

  • Fluent in Dutch and English. 

You are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently. You thrive under pressure and are comfortable engaging with international colleagues in a remote working environment.
