A strong breeding program starts with healthy and carefully maintained crops. In this role as Crop Worker, you will work on the care, monitoring, and protection of our vegetable crops in the greenhouse complex in Luttelgeest and have the space to apply your attention to detail and hands-on approach on a daily basis. This is how you will contribute to the development of high-quality new vegetable varieties.
Make a difference as Crop Worker
As a Crop Worker, you will play an important role in the successful execution of our production programs. You will work on the care, monitoring, and protection of our vegetable crops and contribute to healthy crops and reliable production results. You will collaborate with Production Specialists, Crop Workers, and other colleagues across Enza Zaden and work with a variety of crops, cultivation stages, and activities within our modern greenhouse complex in Luttelgeest. In this role, your work will include:
- Planting, caring for, pollinating, and harvesting vegetable crops in the greenhouse complex;
- Identifying and reporting crop abnormalities, issues, and observations;
- Carrying out crop protection activities in line with established guidelines and procedures;
- Supporting quality control activities and monitoring crop health;
- Preparing greenhouses for new cultivation cycles after harvest;
- Contributing to a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
What you bring as our future colleague
As a Crop Worker, you bring a keen eye for detail and a practical mindset. You know how to identify crop abnormalities at an early stage and can use your accuracy and attention to detail to support the quality of our breeding programs. In addition, you have:
- An affinity with the agricultural sector, horticulture, or crop care;
- Experience with, or an interest in, crop cultivation and care;
- A forklift certificate and crop protection license, or the willingness to obtain these;
- A precise and careful approach to work;
- Good communication skills and a good command of the Dutch or English language;
- The willingness to occasionally work on Saturdays or extend your working hours on weekdays when required.

- A role for 38 hours per week;
- A gross base salary between€2.778,88 en €3.426,27 per month. The range is based on a full-time schedule of 38 hours per week and aligned with your knowledge and experience;
