YOUR ROLE
Join our team at bol in Nijmegen as a Warehouse Supervisor! As the backbone of our logistics operations, you'll oversee either inbound or outbound processes, including returns, at our Nijmegen Distribution Center (DC). Alongside three Assistant Supervisors, you'll manage a team of 30 to 35 dedicated individuals, ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity standards are not just met, but exceeded. With our sights set on expansion, you'll play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement and optimizing workflows. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you'll spearhead initiatives to enhance efficiency and uphold our commitment to excellence. This dynamic role operates in two shifts. One week, you'll start on Sunday afternoon at 16:00 and work until 01:00. This evening shift lasts for six days. The following week, you'll work in the morning from 07:00 to 16:00 for four days. The specific days you work will be determined in collaboration with your manager and colleagues.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Warehouse Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, coordinating, and overseeing warehouse operations to deliver top-tier customer service;
- Identifying and addressing deviations in productivity or quality levels swiftly and effectively;
- Championing continuous improvement initiatives within your team and actively participating in organization-wide projects;
- Collaborating closely with Operational Support departments to ensure seamless communication and operations;
- Implementing Lean principles and leveraging 5S methodologies to optimize efficiency, while also managing HR-related matters such as sick leave and performance reviews;
- Maintaining meticulous administrative records, including reports, KPIs, and skill matrices;
- Providing detailed reports on personnel, equipment, and resource deployment to guide decision-making;
- Monitoring KPIs closely, particularly during periods of planned expansion, to drive performance and growth.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Your extensive experience in logistics, coupled with a hands-on mindset, make you an invaluable asset to our team. Key qualifications include:
- MBO+/HBO working and thinking level;
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar logistics role;
- Proficiency in warehouse operations and automated information systems;
- Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and processes;
- Demonstrated leadership ability and a keen sense of responsibility;
- Flexibility regarding working hours.
