As a Test Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring the quality of the Subscriptions and Payments domain. You will test complex backend processes and API integrations within a modern microservices architecture. You don’t just test what already exists, you help build something better. You dive into logs and data, and actively contribute ideas for improving our applications.

You'll join the Subscriptions & Payments team, where quality, collaboration and continuous improvement go hand in hand. Together with Developers, DevOps and your fellow Test Engineer, you'll help deliver reliable solutions that support all Nederlandse Loterij brands. Because our domain serves multiple departments across the organisation, you'll work with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute to products that make a real impact.

Thanks to your efforts, existing and new information systems are tested for desired functionalities. In this way, you directly contribute to a happy, healthy and sporty Netherlands. As a Test Engineer you score by: 

• Review specifications and translate them into manual and automated test cases
• Expand and maintain test automation within a CI/CD pipeline
• Test and validate batch and time-dependent processes
• Maintain and extend regression test suite
• Report on test results, analyze findings, and advise on improvements
• Collaborate in an international, agile team environment and actively contribute to team growth.

Your experience:

• 4 to 8 years of experience as a medior tester, with a strong focus on API and backend testing.
• Experience with (REST) API testing (JSON)
• Experience with test frameworks (preferably ReadyAPI, Selenium)
• Experience with test automation in a CI/CD environment (Jenkins or similar)
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Experience with version control (GitLab or similar)
• Strong knowledge of the software testing lifecycle (SQA), test design and automation
• Excellent command of English—both spoken and written

Bonus points:

• Experience with batch processes, asynchronous flows, and/or payment or subscription domains
• Experience with microservices architecture.

In your capacity as Test Engineer we offer you:

• a salary between €4.400,- and €6.000,- gross per month, depending on your experience
• a position for 32 - 40 hours per week
• a bonus scheme
