About the Role
Are you ready to inspire the next generation of digital innovators? As a Teacher of ICT at The European School The Hague, you will have the unique opportunity to engage with all our students, equipping them with invaluable ICT knowledge and skills. With access to two dedicated ICT classrooms, 3D printers, and the support of a passionate team of enthusiastic ICT teachers, this role offers the chance to innovate, grow, and leave a lasting impact.

As a Teacher of ICT, you will:
- Deliver engaging ICT lessons to students aged 11-18, following the European Baccalaureate curriculum.
- Inspire and engage your students on ICT projects
- Foster students’ creativity and have the ability to differentiate for diverse learners.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment where every student’s talent is nurtured.
- Collaborate with a team of passionate educators to support a thriving ICT program.
- For the right candidate, the position may include the head of department role, subject to a selection process.

- Enjoy competitive benefits. We offer a salary aligned with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement (CAO VO). The salary is a minimum of €3463 and a maximum of €5277 for a full-time contract on the LB scale. The salary scale and the step offered will depend on your level of experience.

What We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- Fully qualified teacher status for secondary education, recognized in the country where the qualification was obtained. (For UK/Ireland/Scotland applicants, you must have QTS and have completed or been exempt from the statutory induction period.)
- Your teaching qualifications must meet the Dutch Education Authorities (DUO) standards.
- Proficiency in English at a C2 level (CEFR).
- Experience teaching students aged 11–18.
- Expertise in programming (Scratch, Python, Javascript), web design (HTML, CSS), physical computing (Microbit, Arduino, Raspberry Pi), graphics/multimedia, spreadsheets, and databases (SQL, MS Access).
- Experience working with EAL students and meeting individual learning needs.
- Familiarity with international or intercultural education.
- A willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities.
- Knowledge of additional EU languages is an advantage.
