Support Teacher (m/f/d) – German Section

Work pattern: 0.6 FTE

Salary indication: minimum of €3463 and a maximum of €5277 for a full-time contract on a LB scale

The European School The Hague (ESH) is seeking a committed Support Teacher (m/f/d) for the German Section in the primary cycle, starting in the 2025/2026 school year. The position is 0.6 full-time equivalent (FTE) and is initially limited to 12 months, with the option for extension.

Your responsibilities

As part of our dedicated team, you will work closely with the support coordinators, the EAL coordinator, and other support teachers. You will plan and deliver targeted individual and small-group lessons tailored to the specific needs of students, either within the regular classroom setting or in dedicated support spaces.

Requirements:

·         First and Second State Examination for Primary Education (Germany) or an equivalent, recognized primary teaching qualification and DUO registration

·         Fluent German language skills (spoken and written)

·         Desirable: Experience in teaching German as a second or foreign language

·         Experience with and knowledge of SEN/Inclusive Education practices

Other expectations

·         Teaching experience with children aged 6–11

·         Knowledge of additional EU languages

·         Experience in an international and intercultural teaching environment

·         Employment in accordance with the Dutch collective labor agreement for primary education (CAO PO) with a minimum of €3463 and a maximum of €5277 for a full-time contract on a LB scale. The specific step depends on relevant background and experience.

·         Contract is initially for 1 year with the possibility of extension.
