Chiesi is seeking for a Senior Controller to join the Benelux Finance department. This role offers a great opportunity for a strong financial who wants to grow as a business partner. What you will be doing

As a Senior Controller you connect the numbers and the strategy by shaping and executing the planning & control cycle (Short Range Plan / Long Range Plan).  You perform reliable and truthful financial reporting, in conformity with the internal guidelines and legal requirements. You support the organization and act as a business partner with a commercial mind, advisor, and specialist for the assigned departments.

Your key tasks and activities will be:

• Producing and analyzing management information (periodic financial reports, economic calculations and analyses);
• Support the Controlling Manager on the translation of the organization’s strategic financial policies into financial targets and on the formulation of general planning and control principles, guidelines, and procedures;
• Deliver input on for the preparation and adjustment of new business plans;
• Prepare business cases to support decision-making, clarifies information and insights and monitors and assesses the business cases;
• Support to set out the outlines for the new budget at the start of the new budget year, with a proposed division of the investments and provide information to Management and Global Finance;
• Prepare timelines to organize the whole planning process and monitor the budgeting process for all the departments;
• Ensure that the budget information is made available and analysed on a continuous basis. (Be the reference point for SmartFinance & SAP trainings);
• Monitor developments and expectations, make forecasts for the future and translate them into potential consequences;
• Challenge and discuss with departments the OPEX and analyze the differences between ACT and Planning;
• Support the Controlling team of the periodic accounting, forecasting, and reporting, such as quarterly reports, balance sheet and result accounts and the profit and loss account;
• Deliver input for analyzing and commenting on the OPEX;
• Play an active role in improvements and optimalizations of procedures and working methods.

Profiel kandidaat

Who are we looking for?

An eager financial with strong communication skills. As a Senior Controller you have an innovative mindset and you are able to work independently. You are reliable, structured and proactive. Stakeholder management and analytical skills are key for this role.  

• Your working and thinking level is bachelors degree; 
• You have approximately 6 years experience in a similar role (financial planning & analysis and business controlling);
• You have experience with working with SAP;
• You have knowledge and experience with controlling (including IFRS);
• You have experience with working with digital tools (SAP FICO and other reporting tools);
• You have knowledge of complex structures and processes relating to Allocations, Expenses controls, and business cases;
• You have excellent knowledge of excel tool and modeling;
• You have excellent oral and written communicative skills in English.
