Thanks to your efforts, the Data Engineering team can expand the data platform to support the organization and enable real-time identification of fraud, anti-money laundering, and possible gambling addictions. In this way, you directly contribute to a happy, healthy, and sporty Netherlands. As a Data Engineer, you score by:

•  Working on technical solutions that serve other engineering, data, or business-facing teams
• Writing your infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and automatically building, testing, and deploying your creations within our CI/CD pipelines
• Partnering with our technology department on solution delivery, infrastructure, architecture, and platform teams
• Developing and delivering high-quality data solutions that solve specific business problems
• Keeping the platform secure by managing governance tooling, identity management, and connectivity

This is probably also something you’d like to know: the Data Management team consists of three teams. We have an open position for the data platform team, responsible for providing the platform for our Data Lake. 

You’ll help build and operate our organization-wide data ingestion and connectivity layer — the universal collection point for batch and streaming data.

The data platform team is building the universal big data and AI platform for the entire organization. The team works with Azure Databricks, Delta Live Tables, Python, and dbt. As a universal platform, there is a variety of ingestion patterns in use: streaming, batch, CDC, event-driven, API ingestion, etc.

• An education professional credentials, and/or demonstrable expertise in Computer Science or Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in building data engineering solutions and experience in structured & unstructured data, data lakes, scheduling, and orchestration. You can lead design discussions and own a platform domain end-to-end
• Strong proficiency in Python, Spark, and data engineering paradigms, and good knowledge of cloud computing, containerization, CI/CD, and DevOps
• Experience in SQL, NoSQL, and database design

As a Data Engineer, we offer you:

• a salary between €4.800,- and €6.800,- gross per month, depending on your experience
• a full-time position for 40 hours per week
• an interesting bonus scheme
• a healthy and varied lunch in our corporate restaurant for €3,25
