As a Warehouse Worker at Van Gelder Fruit & Vegetables in Ridderkerk, you’ll be active every day in the warehouse of a progressive family business. Your day starts with assembling orders and making sure products are neatly packed and ready for dispatch. You’ll pack fresh salads, stack boxes on pallets, and work according to clear instructions. Safety and hygiene are key—you’ll handle sharp tools like cutting knives and keep your workspace clean. Working in a cooled environment (around 7°C) is part of the job, but you’ll have good protective clothing. This is a full-time job, mostly during weekdays, with shifts in the evenings, nights, and sometimes weekends.
- Packing fresh products and salads in the right packaging
- Stacking boxes on pallets and prepping them for transport
- Handling cutting knives and machines carefully
- Keeping your workplace and the production area clean
- Working in a chilled warehouse (around 7°C)
- Following all safety and hygiene guidelines
- Collaborating with colleagues to keep things running smoothly
You’ll work Monday through Sunday in various shifts, such as evening shifts (19:00-23:00), night shifts (23:00-06:00), and occasionally during the day on weekends.

Wat wij vragen
- Communicative skills in English or Dutch
- Full-time availability (at least 38 hours per week)
- Willingness to work in a chilled environment (around 7°C)
- You follow safety and hygiene guidelines closely
- Experience as a warehouse worker, order picker, or packer is a plus, but not required
- At least VMBO-level working and thinking skills
- Living within 50 km of Ridderkerk
