Field Service Engineer Automation

We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer Automation for the field service department in Schiedam. What are we looking for:

Your Role:

• You carry out automation and electrical service jobs, trouble shooting and commissioning jobs on board vessels, on engine control and safety systems as well as propulsion control systems.
• You complete commissioning and service attendances in a timely and effective manner,
• You collect all necessary information related to each project in order to prepare the attendance; 
• You are able to make an action plan and deliver proper documentation after any service or commissioning job; 
• You act as the representive for MAN Energy Solutions Netherlands BV towards customer
• You promote the development and implementation of best practices in your own area of responsibility;
   

Your qualifications: 

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and/ or Automation Engineering, affinity with marine engineering, mechanical engineer or similar disciplines; 
• You are able to read electrical / pneumatic drawings and have PLC literacy (Codesys); 
• You are experienced with installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of marine equipment
• You have Field experience in Maritime, shipping, an/or offshore oil & Gas installations.
• You have the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment; 
• You are self-motivated, well organized, highly collaborative and a team player; able to work independantly
• You can work under time pressure and you have excellent technical and communication skills,
• As working language is English, you have a good command of the English language (spoken and written), 
• You are able to travel often and on short notice, worldwide (valid driver's license + passport); (+85% of the time);

We are located in Schiedam (Rotterdam).
Our office is easily accessible by car (Highway A13 and A20). We have available and dedicated parking spots.
