Dutch Teacher (60% FTE)

We are seeking a Dutch Language Teacher of Primary and Lower Secondary Education in the Netherlands Teacher role to start mid August 2026.
We will consider applications from people seeking both part-time and full-time work.

The contract offered to the successful applicant is a for one year to begin with (01-08-2026 to 31-07-2027) and subject to annual renewal.

Requirements:
We are looking for a teacher who has:

  • A teaching degree: Bachelor in Primary Education or PGCE plus Qualified Teacher Status
  • Ability and experience to teach Dutch across primary and lower secondary range
  • Native level Dutch and near native level English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • A positive, kind disposition and who is philosophically aligned with our school values
  • Permission to live and work in the European Union will be teaching a class of students, ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs. You should be flexible and adjust to the needs of an expanding school, actively contributing to its development and growth.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensuring that the curriculum provides a range of powerful, personalised learning opportunities for students by:
  • Implementing agreed school policies and guidelines.
  • Supporting initiatives decided by the Principal and staff.
  • Planning appropriately to meet the needs of all pupils, through differentiation of tasks.
  • Being able to set clear targets, based on prior attainment, for pupils’ learning.
  • Providing a stimulating classroom environment, where resources can be accessed appropriately by all students.
  • Keeping appropriate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment into weekly and term planning in line with school policy.
  • Reporting to parents on the development, progress and attainment of students in line with the school assessment strategy.
  • Maintaining good order and discipline amongst students, in accordance with the school's behaviour policy.
  • Participating in meetings which relate to the school's leadership, curriculum, administration and organisation.
  • Communicating and cooperating with specialists from outside agencies.
  • Leading, organising and directing support staff within the classroom.
  • Participating in the performance management system for the review of your own performance, and that of other teachers as required.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the life of the school beyond the classroom.
  • Contribute positively to the morale and community spirit in the school.
  • Lead one or more agreed extra-curricular activities each week.
  • Participate in residential weeks and trips as appropriate.
  • Contribute to whole school learning initiatives during term.
  • To assist in whole school marketing initiatives and contribute to the growth of the school.
