Competences

  • Solid subject knowledge in Economics at secondary level;
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging, concept-driven lessons in line with the DP framework;
  • Skilled in assessment for and of learning, including DP internal and external assessment requirements;
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a small, multidisciplinary team;
  • Proficient in English (language of instruction).

Profiel kandidaat

As our DP Economics teacher, you will teach Economics to students in grades 11 and 12 (Diploma Programme Years 1 and 2), at Standard and/or Higher Level. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, designing assessments, and guiding students through the internal assessment process. You will work closely with the DP Coordinator and colleagues to ensure a coherent and high-quality learning experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Teaching DP Economics (5–10 hours per week);
  • Designing lesson plans and learning materials aligned with the IB Economics guide;
  • Supervising and providing feedback on student Internal Assessments (IAs);
  • Contributing to curriculum review and departmental development;
  • Participating in relevant IB professional development opportunities;
  • Maintaining regular communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
