How do I become a Analytics Engineer at Coolblue?
As an Analytics Engineer at Coolblue, you turn complex data into clear, usable models. Your models help teams like Marketing, Operations or Finance make smarter decisions, faster. You work closely with data engineers to connect source data and keep things running smoothly. You also team up with analysts and product owners to understand what they really need. From version control to automated testing — you build like an engineer, think like a business partner. That’s how you make our data landscape a little better every day.
You enjoy doing this
- Build clean, tested, and scalable data models using dbt and SQL.
- Talk with analysts and product owners to understand what data they need.
- Team up with data engineers to improve pipelines and data architecture.
- Make sure datasets are accurate, well-documented, and ready to use.
- Use engineering practices like version control, CI/CD, and peer reviews.
- Share knowledge with teammates through reviews, coaching, and docs.
- Structure data for performance, usability, and maintainability.
- Write clean code and clear documentation for long-term use.
- Work closely with both tech teams and business stakeholders.
- Keep learning new tools and improving your skills every day.
You recognize yourself in the following
- 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering or technical data roles.
- Confident working with SQL and a programming language like Python.
- Experience with dbt and cloud platforms like BigQuery or Snowflake.
- Know how to design data warehouses, pipelines and orchestration flows.
- Familiar with visualization tools such as Looker or similar.
- Knowledge of data observability tools like Monte Carlo is a plus.
- Strong communication skills tailored to tech and non-tech audiences.
