Make a difference as Senior Analytics Engineer

As Senior Analytics Engineer, you play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across Enza Zaden worldwide. You design, build and maintain scalable data models and analytics products that empower self-service BI for teams across the organization. Working closely with product owners, analytics engineers, IT specialists and business stakeholders, you translate complex requirements into reliable solutions on the global data platform. Your impact is visible in better insights, improved processes and stronger data maturity across departments.

In this role, your work will include:

• Designing, developing and maintaining advanced data models and analytics products using tools like Databricks, dbt and Power BI;

• Leading complex analytics and reporting initiatives with a mid- to long-term horizon;

• Translating business needs into scalable, well-governed data solutions in collaboration with stakeholders and product owners;

• Improving data quality, reliability, performance and cost efficiency through lifecycle management;

• Ensuring compliance with architecture, security and access standards together with IT, Architecture and Security teams;

• Coaching colleagues and contributing to knowledge sharing, user enablement and adoption of data solutions.

What you bring as our future colleague

As Senior Analytics Engineer, you bring strong ownership and a strategic yet pragmatic mindset. You know how to translate complex business questions into actionable data solutions and use your technical expertise to deliver scalable, high-quality results. You communicate effectively with stakeholders across different levels and guide teams in using data more effectively. You are comfortable working independently while also fostering collaboration and growth within the team. In addition, you have:

• A Master's degree (WO) with 6–8 years of relevant experience in analytics, reporting or data engineering;

• Strong knowledge of data modelling, analytics and data transformation techniques;

• Hands-on experience with Azure (DP203), Databricks, SQL, dbt, Power BI, DAX and Git;

• Experience with DevOps practices such as version control, testing and CI/CD for data products;

• Understanding of scalability, architecture principles and data platform lifecycle management;

• Strong communication, stakeholder management and coaching skills.

• A position for 32-38 hours per week;

• A gross monthly salary between € 5.103,90 and € 7.291,28, based on a full-time workweek of 38 hours and aligned with your knowledge and experience;

• 8.33% vacation allowance and an attractive annual bonus program of 10% of your annual salary, depending on your job level and company performance;

• 25 vacation days, the option to purchase additional vacation days, and one paid vitality day per year, with extra vacation days granted as you get older;

• A laptop and mobile phone provided by Enza Zaden;

• A contribution toward overnight accommodation costs if you live farther away from Enza Zaden. This program applies to employees working for Enza Zaden in the Netherlands whose one-way commute exceeds 100 kilometers and 75 minutes;

• An attractive retirement plan, commuting reimbursement if you live more than 10 kilometers from your workplace and a remote work allowance when working partly from home in consultation with your manager;
