Make a difference as Global HSE Specialist
As our Global HSE Specialist, you will be the go-to expert for health, safety, and environmental matters across all Enza Zaden locations. You will support the business in ensuring global compliance, drive awareness, and help us continuously improve our HSE performance. Your key responsibilities include:
Supporting the implementation of global HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
Organizing and executing risk assessments (RI&E), compliance inspections, and internal audits worldwide.
Monitoring and reporting on HSE performance globally, including incidents, audits, and corrective actions.
Translating legislation and best practices into global standards and practical applications.
Advising and informing global and local management on HSE performance and developments.
Contributing to international emergency response and crisis management procedures.
Organizing global HSE training and awareness campaigns in collaboration with local teams.
You will report to the HSE Manager and work closely with local management, safety coaches, and external experts. Your base will be in Enkhuizen, the Netherlands, with occasional international travel.
What you bring as a future colleague
A bachelor’s degree (HBO) and a minimum of 4 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in an industrial or international environment.
Preferably a High Safety Specialist (HVK) certificate or willingness to obtain one.
Strong knowledge of international HSE legislation and Health & Safety Management Systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cultures and organizational levels.
Proficiency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
A proactive, persuasive attitude and the ability to coach and motivate others.
Flexibility to travel globally.
Respond to incidents outside regular hours.
You are tactically strong, culturally sensitive, and capable of building trust and driving change in a global context.
