YOUR ROLE

As IT Controlroom Specialist your focus is on optimizing productivity on technical level and guaranteeing delivery reliability. As IT Controller you have a key position within the Warehouse Management System related issues in logistics operations. You train warehouse operators and trouble shooters in their daily job. You conduct meetings with the Functional Applications Specialist and the IT Services department. You are the connecting link between operations and applications IT. You identify and prioritize (potential) errors to the WMS system.

The Control Room is the beating heart of our logistics operation, from which the central management takes place. The aim of the department is to optimize productivity and guarantee delivery reliability. Your stakeholders consist of the your colleagues in the Control Room; our Operations and Process Control Room specialist, Equipment Control Specialist as well as the Manager Operations Control. You will report to the this Manager.

You will work in 2 shifts, a day shift and an evening shift. Once a month you will be working the weekend shift. Want to know more? Please read on… As an Operational Controlroom Specialist, you are responsible for creating a continuous flow between various operational departments. In the role of Operational Control Room Specialist, you have a key position within the logistical operation. Together with your colleagues in the Controlroom, the beating heart of the operation, you have the task to make every day a success in the operation.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• You drive the operational IT processes based on accurate data;
• You are responsible for incident management and IT related failures;
• You monitor the warehouse management systems and the performance on various KPIs and make adjustments where necessary;
• You are our onsite incident manager and provide offsite support, second line support;
• You advise the operation in optimizing the warehouse process flow;
• You monitor the overview of the flow on the system and react adequately when adjustments have to be made to the various flows, parameters and stations;
• You provide the operation and other stakeholders with hourly updates.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• A completed Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT, engineering or logistics or a completed associate degree in IT with several years of experience within the field;
• Relevant work experience in a logistics, production or service environment;
• Analytical strong and have a systematic and structured way of working;
• Good social and contact skills;
• Command of the English languages in word and writing;
• Because public transport opportunities are limited to and from our warehouse, having you own transportation is mandatory;
• You are available full time and (in time) willing to work in shifts.

• You will receive a base monthly salary between €2.625,10 en €3.755,57, shift allowance and 8% holiday allowance and shift allowance;
