IT-Support Senior Engineer
Salary: €4.000,00 - €4.500,00 gross per month
Location: Bleiswijk, Head Office/Business unit IT

Role Purpose
This role is an extension of the IT-Support Engineer role. Its purpose is to recognize tenure and deeper responsibilities and to encompass Subject Matter Expertise (SME) within one of 5 fields (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Linux and Network).
A successful IT-Support Senior Engineer will be a technical leader for internal teams, where confidence and expertise can be demonstrated and shared with teams to increase and support adoption of Google / Apple / Microsoft / Linux / Network services. An important part of the role will be to demonstrate confidence in recommending use cases of available Google / Apple / Microsoft / Linux / Network services that suit the customer / stakeholder requirements while providing stable, secure and scalable solutions.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) Knowledge Areas
SMEs know and understand:
• The customer environment, requirements and desired outcomes;
• The value of building trust through regular interaction with all stakeholders (customer, development teams and partner service providers);
• Specific technologies that underpin advertised services;
• Priority - what's important and why;
• Impact - how service or change affects the mission;
• Industry insights, the marketplace, emerging technologies.
Typical Activities
• Monitor and manage services in daily use, assist with Incident Management and Problem Management by applying a Continual Service Improvement approach;
• Identify areas of concern and proactively address risks using industry standard approaches;
• Production of reports to illustrate service and system health.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide top-tier customer service for IT-related issues;
• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware problems;
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for major tech platforms;
• Implement infrastructure solutions;
• Perform root cause analysis and develop long-term solutions;
• Maintain accurate documentation and IT-systems;
• Collaborate effectively across the organization.
Required Skills
• Expertise with Google Cloud and Workspace;
• Strong communication and documentation skills;
• Extensive IT-support experience;
• Knowledge of various operating systems;
• Proficiency in business productivity suites;
• Understanding of computer networking and ITIL-processes.
Desired Qualifications
• Driver’s licence;
• Linux/Unix experience;
• Technical project delivery background;
• ITIL-certification.

What Toolstation Offers
• An employment contract of 36 to 40 hours per week, starting with a one-year contract, with prospects for a permanent position;
• A salary between €4.000,00 - €4.500,00 gross per month based on a full-time employment;
