Production Planner Open Field

What are you going to do?

As Field Production Planner Open Field you coordinate the tactical seed production planning of the Open Field crops based on the market demand. With your team you take care of placing seed crops at the most suitable production locations in the world, while also paying attention to an optimal price/quality ratio.

Based on, among other things, delivery reliability, lead times, raw material quantities and quality, a capacity planning is made by means of a planning software.

The planning is validated by you, planning constraints and alerts are analyzed by you. You look for solutions for constraints and are an important player in the monthly decision-making (Seed Supply team) about the planning.

You are not only responsible for the medium-term capacity planning, but also for the operational production planning activities (e.g. overproduction management, cancellation and/or increase in volume of current productions). In addition, you provide input for strategic planning and business cases for the crops by calculating capacity requirements for the future.

You prepare the strategic planning scenarios as requested by the crop group, supply chain or the Crop Production Manager on your own initiative and insight.

You report on production planning KPIs, performance of root cause analysis and implementation of improvement actions. In addition, you will come up with ideas in the field of production planning and related processes for the continuous improvement of Seed Operations and you will have an active role in the implementation of these.

Your Power

Your education is at Bachelor's work and thinking level, preferably in supply chain, business, agricultural or technical field, and 3-5 years of relevant work experience in production or supply chain.

You have affinity with (vegetable) cultivation and production planning and experience with working with automated (planning and ERP) systems. In addition, you show initiative and are able to work systematically and independently.

You like to use your ability to analyze complex problems and large amounts of data. You have excellent communication skills and are strongly internationally oriented. In addition to Dutch, your knowledge of the English language, both written and oral, is excellent.
