You enjoy doing this

• Creating robust and efficient data pipelines and cloud-based data systems that transform raw data into actionable insights.
• Ensuring that our data processing systems are operational, secure, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
• Continuously monitoring the performance and reliability of our data processing systems, making necessary improvements to maintain high standards.
• Engaging in knowledge-sharing activities, including code reviews, presentations, training sessions, and coaching, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Demonstrating proactive communication, maintaining continuous collaboration with cross-functional teams, and exploring fresh ways to leverage data for the benefit of the business.
• Advocating for and promote the principles of data agility, championing a dynamic and adaptable approach within the organization.

• You come to the table with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a data engineer or in a related role.
• You've got a solid grasp of Cloud best practices and can put them into action on Google Cloud and/or AWS platforms.
• When it comes to programming, you're proficient in at least one language, and you're open to using Python in your work.
• Data processing is your thing, and you've previously dipped your toes in platforms like Kafka, Airflow, Dataproc, or Dataflow.
• You've also got a track record with continuous integration, logging, and monitoring, and if you've worked with Datadog, that's definitely a bonus.
