Enza Zaden breeds, produces and sells seeds all over de world. As a Regulatory & Trade Specialist, you help guarantee compliance with import and export regulations in our markets, while ensuring alignment with our company policies and procedures. By facilitating seed movement you help to secure and optimize Enza Zaden’s international trade between countries.
In this position you proactively gather relevant regulations, analyze them, and support their implementation within the organization. Your focus is on trade regulations with regard to phytosanitary requirements.
Regulations change quickly and have a major impact within our business; this makes the position very dynamic and diverse. Establishing relationships with other departments such as Supply Chain, Customer Services, R&D, Sales to embed Trade Compliance activities and to strengthen the Trade Compliance network is essential to be successful.
In this role, you will be part of a growing global team of regulatory and trade compliance professionals responsible for ensuring that Enza Zaden is able to fulfill its mission to be one of the best vegetable seeds companies in the world.
Your strong analytical and organizational skills enable you to process large amounts of information. Your flexible mindset allows you to switch between tasks when needed. Thanks to your excellent written and verbal communication skills, you connect easily with people on multiple levels. You enjoy working with a diverse group of stakeholders of different nationalities.
You take end-to-end responsibility and have the ability to manage various information streams. You continuously strive to improve the processes and tools with which you work and are comfortable making suggestions for improvement.
In short, you:
- have a Master's degree in Agriculture, Legal, Business, Food Law, Regulatory Affairs or related field;
- are fluent in English;
- are familiar with reading and interpreting legal texts;
- have strong organizational, communication and planning skills;
- are detail-oriented and have excellent analytical skills.
