The Global Quality Assurance Manager Dairy will be based in Europe. Responsibilities will include ensuring product quality assurance, food safety & the meeting all regulatory requirements for Dairy products shipped to European customers. This role will be responsible for providing support to the European sales team to interact with customers, provide timely information and resolution of customer complaints, ensure specifications meet requirements. This role will have responsibility for ensuring the business is updated with new and upcoming regulatory developments within the EU to enable the business units to proactively take steps to meet the requirements.


  • Key assessment of the current Dairy quality department and carry out a GAP assessment in line with the Global Key Accounts requirements.
  • Engaging cross functionally define and shape a structure for quality department which caters to the needs of Global Key Accounts.
  • In line with global requirements build the Supplier Management program as required to meet both the ofi trading business & MNC business requirements. This will include development & execution of audits and required monitoring programs as appropriate.
  • In line with global requirements coordinate and perform quality approvals of new sources and new products
  • Proactively work with Suppliers supplying products to European customers in ensuring speed of action with respect to product information, specifications & resolution of customer issues & queries.
  • Responsible for resolution of customer complaints working with the European sales & customer service teams. 
  • Undertake technical root cause(s) analysis and work collaboratively with suppliers to drive required corrective and preventive actions.
  • Meet & understand the key technical requirements and provide information about the Ofi QFS systems along with Sales team members in generating & fulfilling new product opportunities with customers.  
  • Understand the key regulatory environment with EU and provide feedback to Innovation & Quality team to undertake proactive steps to meet the regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in the global regulatory team
  • Interact with Innovation & Quality teams in Dairy and across categories as required to provide information on customer requirements & key challenges. 
  • Assist customers with product or quality improvement initiatives. 
  • Provide key technical insights to EU sales team. Enhance technical knowledge through providing data from plant locations & providing the same to customers to ensure high levels of technical expertise to the customers when required.


  • A degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Microbiology. A Masters advantageous.
  • Customer relationship management with ability to represent ofi to customers and external agencies
  • Self-awareness to enable & lead through influence suppliers & associates across geographies 
  • Composure while dealing with ambiguity
  • Understanding of food regulations within EU, US & Asia region specifically on industrial Dairy
  • Must have around 10 years of quality assurance experience
  • Must have a good knowledge on the Chemistry & microbiological aspects of Dairy & industrial Dairy ingredients.
  • Supplier Auditing experience
  • Understanding of Dairy technologies 
  • Must be able to accurately write & review product specifications, label declarations and formulations based on customer requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Can interact cross functionally with Sales, PLM & suppliers as a team player
  • Can build strong working relationships with suppliers and customers
