About Amersfoort International School 
 
Amersfoort International School (AIS) started in 2023 and offers English-language international primary education to children aged 4-12.

 The school is now preparing for authorisation by the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP).

 AIS is a Dutch International Primary School (DIPS) located near the historical centre of Amersfoort. The school shares a building with a Dutch primary school, De Kubus, and is governed by the AnnoNu school board, a group of 24 Dutch national schools in the Amersfoort region.
 
The school’s vision is to be a learning community based on inclusion and equal opportunities, thus empowering students to become internationally-minded and successful learners in an ever-changing world. This is reflected in the school’s mission statement, ‘Learning for All.’

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• An understanding of Early Years & play-based learning 
• A commitment to the school’s mission, vision and school values 
• An excellent communicator who is fluent in written and spoken English
• Great social skills with the ability to function well within a team
• A valid and relevant primary school teaching/education qualification i.e. QTS, PGCE 
• DUO-accredited teaching qualifications  
• At least five years of primary school teaching experience 
• Multi-age classroom experience (preferable)
• International school teaching experience
• Eligibility to work in Europe
• Experience with an international educational programme (e.g. IB PYP, IPC, concept-based curriculum, project-based teaching & learning, understanding of Reggio Emilia approach) 
• An appreciation for different cultures and an understanding of intercultural education  
• A great sense of humour and a positive outlook on life!
